ENOCH LEADBEATER

Date of Death:  24 October 1943, age 28.
Husband of Nora Leadbeater of 110 Aughton Road, Swalllownest.
The Fire Service were pumping water from Waleswood Pit and as it was bitterly cold they                                             
moved the machinery and car to the back of a wall.   The fumes killed Fireman Enoch Leadbeater.   His colleague was found just in time and recovered.
