Son of Frank Turner Guest and Mary Emma Guest (née Newell), of 20 Turnshaw Avenue, Aughton, Sheffield.
Frank’s Lancaster Bomber was one of 150 Lancasters taking part in a daylight raid on
Osterfield Germany.   His aircraft was hit by flak and fell into a built up area of Sterkrade in Germany and was the only aircraft lost.   Frank and his crew were killed.
